Green building, or sustainable design, is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings and their sites use energy, water, and materials, and reducing building impacts on human health and the environment. Green building concepts extend beyond the walls of buildings and can include site planning, community and land use planning issues as well.
As a member of the NC HealthyBuilt Homes Program and the WNC Green Building Council, Grace Homes meets "green home guidelines." We practice sustainable, high performance building strategies making your home a comfortable, healthy and affordable place to live. We implement design concepts that reduce energy and water usage, promote renewable energy use, help protect the land and natural resources where your home is built, and reduce pollution and the waste of natural resources during the manufacturing and construction phases and throughout the life of the home.
"Brad Hutchinson at Grace Homes is a builder who pays attention to the details and always follows up with members of the project team. We really appreciate clients who make the rating process easy for us, and have seen firsthand that the result is a high-quality home that meets the intended project goals."
