Time Lapse Project Videos
I’ve had an affinity for time lapse videos for decades. I have hundreds of hours of footage that I need to comb through, edit, and cut together, but once I finally settle down a bit…I’ll dedicate more time to posting more time lapse projects:
This mural was painted at 12 Bones South location in Asheville / Arden by the tremendously talented artist Gus Cutty (@guscutty).
Anthony Bourdain has always been someone we admired because of his love of food and travel. He drew on an endless curiosity to tell engaging stories. More importantly though, we appreciated his belief that sharing a meal with others was undoubtedly a way to bridge gaps.
When we learned of his passing as we began the buildout of our new location, we reserved this wall for what would be a tribute to his zest for life. RIP Tony!
It's pretty mesmerizing to watch this masterpiece come to life from a blank canvas as local muralist Ian Wilkinson showcases his raw talent.
This mural is located at the new 12 Bones South location in Arden, NC.

VIDEO NOTES:
I needed a shelter for my new tractor as well as some other farm equipment before we construct the steel warehouse in a couple months. I mainly wanted something to keep our equipment out of the elements, and one that I could easily set up my security system to monitor until the permanent building is complete.
Assembling this unit is very doable with one person. I'm 5'2" and had no troubles...it just took longer than it would have with 2-3 people (as they recommend).

Progress video from November / December 2018.
Aside our beer (of course) our bar was planned to hands down be the true "WOW" factor of the new brewery. We love showing behind-the-scenes details of all the hard work, planning, and execution that goes into the process.
For the bar, we had a very distinct vision and aesthetic in mind. We knew we wanted the draft beer faucet area to be recessed into the wall...and also that we needed to configure a hot water heater in the general vicinity.
With the ingenuity of the amazing team at Goforth Builders, we creatively developed a solution to acieve the desired effect of the recessed look we envisioned, while also creating a functional utility closet. This was far less costly than carving into a concrete wall, and also provided a great, unique space for both the water heater up top (accessible as needed), along with bonus closet space for storage.
Creating this aesthetic was a pretty cool process that you can witness come to life.

This is from September 2018. The last few months of 2018 were extremely busy. Here is a small snapshot of some of the progress.

A brief recap of some of the end of 2018 buildout progress on the new 12 Bones South location.

Filmed January / February 2019 as we put the finishing touches on the new 12 Bones South location and prepared to launch this new spot.

This shop was my very first commercial space when I started Swatch Color in California back in 2014.
This shop was my very first commercial space when I started Swatch Color in California back in 2014.

After we expanded or family, we switched gears and upgraded to a 4,000 sq. ft. home…where I could set-up and dedicate half of that space to my very home home studio. I worked around the clock with a brand new baby, a toddler, and the glorious Master Suite converted into my art studio.
